An F-150 fit for royals?

Its wide-opening doors also made the trip up, in and atop its large, leather seats an easy trek while the assist handles were there if needed, say, if you had a lap top or two or three in one arm to stow in the equally-large armrest bin.

While large people would find supreme comfort and room up front, out back three big adults with helmets and work stuff on would not have any complaints on the way to the job site. My 4, 9, and 16 year olds had ample room to even with two booster seats in place. The younger ones liked the power-slide rear window... and tossing stuff through that window into its five-foot-five-inch-long bed (four feet wide between wheel wells; 7-feet-six-inches long with the nifty, fold-out bed extender that sat atop the open gate).

Back up front, it was not hard to find excellent drive position seated on the 10-way powered driver seat with dual driver memory settings. The steering wheel was bolted to a power tilt and telescoping column and it had its bottom ¾ wrapped in leather with wood grain at the top and it housed an audio, media and Bluetooth cluster of buttons on the right side with cruise and vehicle information scroll buttons on the left, and all within an easy thumbs’ reach when hands were in the proper 9-3 position.

Another control on the steering column adjusted the power brake and throttle height. Heck, the only thing this ride was missing for ’driver’ comfort and convenience was an in-seat Bidet butt/privates washer thingy toilet. It did heat and cool my underside though.

Available vehicle info. included helpful things like: average fuel economy, real-time fuel economy, and the trip odometer. There was also plenty of helpful off-road and trailer-tow information along with setting adjustment for things like Driver Assist (rear park aid on/off), Trailer Brake Mode (electric or electric over hydraulic), and Trailer Sway Control (on/off). I could also adjust things like the locks (auto lock/unlock on/off), power running boards (on/off), and I could set the duration of the climate control for times when the F-150 was started using the key fob on cold days.

The stack area featured an eight-inch LCD display that showed beside the shifter. One could probably smuggle some large creature across a border somewhere in the pit that was the armrest bin (10 inches deep, 12 inches long, 8 inches wide). The bin had a spot to hang files (for the foreman/contractor types) and included a 12-volt power source, LED light, and a removable tray with coin slots. The underside of the bin’s armrest lid had plastic holders for a cell phone, pens and a pack of tissue. The rear of the bin had two more was basically just for the vehicle manual and not much else. The doors had plenty of open storage space along with bottle holders.
