Como respuesta a su devoción por la imagen del Santo Niño de Atocha, la familia Huerta Villa de el ejido La Angostura organizó una cabalgata de este ejido a San Juan de la Vaquería.
El matrimonio de Salvador Huerta Loera y Ofelia Villa Silva dio vida una vez más a la tradición que iniciara hace cuarenta años al propiciar la caminata a la loma para visitar la capilla, así como la presencia de danzas y rezo de oraciones lo cual ha ayudado a mantener los lazos amistosos y unir a las familias con esta tradición.
Son varias las familias que tienen devoción por la imagen del Santo Niño de Atocha, dandole así gracias a Dios con danzas y oraciones para agradecer o hacer peticiones.
El matrimonio y sus hijos ofrecieron aproximadamente quinientos platillos de guisado y agua fresca, como bienvenida a los visitantes y cumpliendo con esta tradición.
"Esta es la oportunidad de dar la calidez de antaño a la gente de campo y huésped de las tierras donde se forjó una lucha en la época de la Revolución y que dejó una sociedad que sigue evolucionando sin olvidar su pasado", dijo Salvador Huerta.

Los niños se dieron cita en buena cantidad en las Competencias Atléticas Infantil que se organizaron al finalizar la Carrera Atlética "Santo Niño de Atocha" en la colonia Abastos, realizada el pasado domingo a temprana hora.
Se realizará el domingo 17 de julio a partir de las 8:30 de la mañana, con una distancia de 5 kilómetros 500 metros, con salida y meta frente a la puerta de entrada a la capilla "Santo Niño de Atocha", ubicada en calle Jerez No. 111, colonia Abastos.
Pocos pero entusiastas corredores tomaron parte en la Carrera Atlética "Santo Niño de Atocha", que tuvo como triunfadores absolutos a Verónica Hinojosa Ramírez del equipo Heriberto de la Torre y José Cervantes Torres del Club Halcones.

1 yellow 8″ Nino de Atocha candle in glass, or use 1 yellow 8 inch candle in glass and print a copy of the Nino de Atocha image and place it near or on the candle, and copy the prayer at the end of this posting. pencil High John the Conquerer Incense Pestle and mortar ( If you do not have one you can tear High John the Conquerer root by hand and add the smallest bits of Bayberry in a mix of about 1 teaspoon.) Medicine dropper (If you don’t have one just estimate the amount of oil to the best of your ability.)Herbs: High John the Conquerer, Bayberry, Allspice, with just a pinch of Yarrow and Cinnamon
Oils: Cedar, Dragon’s Blood, Wintergreen and just a drop of Honey
Your wishes: While preparing the spell think and envision what you want to gain. Make it as specific and as grand as your imagination can take you.
Application:
Burn High John the Conquerer incense. Using a lead pencil, write your name on the top surface of the 8″ candle. Place a small kernel of John the Conquerer root and 2-3 pieces of Bayberry in a mortal and grind with pestle until they are in small bits. Add a small amount of ground Allspice to the mixture and continue to grind until all the herbs are near powder. It should all come to slightly over 1 teaspoon.
