IP Infusion Expands Korean Operations, Helps Transition to IPv6
, President and CEO of IP Infusion, said, “As networks transition to IPv6, legacy support for IPv4 is crucial, and our innovative IP Infusion Rapid Deployment solution accelerates the transition for Korean network providers.”“More than 30 Korean networking equipment vendors use our routing and switching solutions to deliver high-quality routing and switching core network and access solutions. As the telecom infrastructure and advanced Internet environments in Korea continue to grow, we remain committed to helping our customers bring products to market faster, and to differentiate them from competitors with reduced cost,” Narasaki added.
Company sources added that IP Infusion will deploy its sensor-based networking solutions to leverage the smart energy networking implementations already in place in Korea.
IP Infusion’s core technology serves smart energy networking needs as smart meters help in reducing energy consumption. IP Infusion will optimize smart energy network technologies in Korea by enabling machine-to-machine communication for sensor networks and metering.
It is expected that these technologies will support IPv6 and will be compliant with IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force) 6LoWPAN (IPv6 over Low Power Wireless Personal Area Networks), which enables IPv6 technologies to operate on wireless sensor networks.
It was also announced that Seongyoon Jo will be appointed as head of Korean operations. He has vast experience in developing new businesses in Korea, leading sales teams and creating long-term business plans for companies in the optical and data networking, , VoIP and multimedia industries. He has served Nortel, BigBand Networks and BroadSoft previously.
Seongyoon Jo, managing director, IP Infusion Korea Co., Ltd said, “Our latest expansion extends our leadership in market segments across Korea. Moving forward, we will deliver sensor network solutions to support smart energy initiatives and support the smooth transition from IPv4 to IPv6 by providing our customers with IPv4 over IPv6 tunneling, IPv6 over IPv4 tunneling, and IPv4-to-IPv6 translation.”
In recent related news, IP Infusion announced that it is helping client organizations take their networks to the cloud.
